How it works
One visit, one logging window, one report
A survey takes about two weeks end to end, most of which is us working rather than you waiting. Here is exactly what happens, and what we need from you.

Scoping call
20 minutes, free
We talk through the property and what is prompting the survey — a symptom, a purchase, a renovation, or plain curiosity. You get an honest answer about whether a survey will help, including when it will not.

On-site survey
3–6 hours on site
One surveyor, one visit. We scan the property, run the spectrum, field, thermal, acoustic and light measurements room by room, and place air quality loggers in the rooms that matter.

Logging window
24–72 hours
Air quality and noise loggers stay in place through a full day-and-night cycle so we capture how the home behaves when you are cooking, sleeping and away — not just during our visit.

Analysis and review
5–7 working days
We register every reading to the 3D model, build the layer maps, and write the findings. A second surveyor reviews the recommendations before anything is sent.

Report and walkthrough
45-minute call
You get the interactive report, a PDF summary, and a call where we walk the model with you. The report stays live in your account, and you can re-open it any time.
Before we arrive
How to prepare — mostly by not preparing
Live normally
Do not tidy, do not air the place out, do not switch things off. We want the house as you actually use it — the artificial version produces a report about a home nobody lives in.
Clear access, not surfaces
We need to reach the consumer unit, the meter, the loft hatch and each exterior wall. Furniture is fine where it is; we work around it and note what we could not see.
Write down the symptom
The room that always feels cold, the hum you only hear at night, the corner that gets damp. Specifics like these are worth more to us than any amount of general concern.
Plan for the loggers
Air and noise loggers are small, silent and mains or battery powered. They stay for one to three nights in the rooms that matter and need a flat surface at roughly head height.
Method
Why you can trust the numbers
Measurement is easy. Measurement you can defend six months later, in front of a builder or a surveyor who disagrees with you, is the part that takes work.
Calibrated instruments
Every instrument carries a current calibration certificate, and the certificate reference for each device used on your survey is printed in the report appendix.
Recorded conditions
Outdoor temperature, weather, occupancy and what was switched on are logged alongside the readings, because a measurement without its conditions is not a measurement.
Second-surveyor review
No report leaves without a second qualified surveyor reviewing the findings and, specifically, challenging the recommendations.
Stated uncertainty
Where a figure has meaningful measurement uncertainty, or where the underlying science is genuinely contested, the report says so instead of rounding it into false confidence.
